Love Pinch sends a gesture — a kiss, a hug, a pinch — from you to one other person. There is no message to read, and we designed it that way on purpose. This page explains exactly what we hold, and why.
We never read your messages, because there are none. A gesture is a choice from a small set plus a timestamp. There is no text field, no photo, no voice note, no location. Nothing you send can be read by us, because there is nothing in it to read.
We do not track you across other apps or websites, we run no advertising, and we sell nothing to anybody. There are no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the app.
When you invite your partner, the app creates a link and hands it to your phone’s own share sheet. You choose where it goes; we never see the recipient. We do not ask for, receive or store your partner’s phone number, email address or contacts, and the app never reads your address book.
A small number of companies process data on our behalf, and only to make the product work:
Nobody else. We do not sell or share your data, and there is no advertising relationship of any kind.
Your account and your gesture history stay while your account exists. If you unpair, the couple and its history survive for 30 days before being deleted — unpairing at 2am is a thing people regret at 9am, and the record of the times someone reached for you cannot be recreated.
You can delete your account inside the app, under You. It erases your name, your email, your password, your devices and every sign-in on every phone, and it ends your pairing immediately.
One thing survives, deliberately: the gestures you sent stay with the person you sent them to, with your name removed. That record is theirs as much as it was yours, and erasing your data should not quietly erase their memories.
If you have uninstalled the app and cannot sign in, email hello@lovepinch.app and we will delete the account for you.
If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you the right to see what we hold, correct it, take it with you, restrict how it is used, or have it erased. Email hello@lovepinch.app and we will answer within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
We process your data to provide the product you asked for (contract), and to keep it secure and working (legitimate interests). We do not rely on advertising consent, because we do not advertise.
Love Pinch is not for people under 16, and we do not knowingly hold data about them.
Everything travels over TLS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in a readable form. Access to production data is limited to the people who run the service.
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will say so in the app rather than quietly editing this page.
Who is responsible. Love Pinch is operated by Octany Labs (trading as Love Pinch), registered in the Netherlands. Postal address on request, and on the store listing. For anything about your data, write to hello@lovepinch.app.
